Ugakei

Japanese: 宇賀渓 - うがけい

A valley in the upper reaches of the Uga River, which flows east between Mount Ryugatake and Mount Shakagatake in the Suzuka Mountains in northern Mie Prefecture. The scenery of the rapids and many waterfalls, including Gosho Falls, Uodome Falls, Tsubame Falls, and Nagaotaki Falls, is said to be the best in the valleys of the Suzuka Mountains, and it is included in the Suzuka Quasi-National Park. There is a hiking trail and a campsite along the Tokai Nature Trail. It is a 15-minute drive from Daian Station on the Sangi Railway Sangi Line.

Nagao Falls
This waterfall is located in Ugakei, a scenic spot upstream of the Uga River. It has a drop of about 30m. It is one of the most famous waterfalls in Ugakei, which is dotted with many waterfalls. Ugakei is included in Suzuka Quasi-National Park, and the scenery created by the numerous waterfalls and rapids is said to be the best valley in the Suzuka mountain range. 三重県北部、鈴鹿(すずか)山脈の竜(りゅう)ヶ岳と釈迦(しゃか)ヶ岳の間を東へ流れる宇賀川の上流にある渓谷。御所滝、魚止(うおどめ)滝、燕(つばめ)滝、長尾滝など多くの滝と急流の景観は鈴鹿山系渓谷でも随一といわれ、鈴鹿国定公園に含まれる。東海自然歩道が通じ、ハイキングコース、キャンプ場がある。三岐(さんぎ)鉄道三岐線大安(だいあん)駅から車で15分。
