Wilson's theorem

Japanese: ウィルソンの定理 - ウィルソンのていり(英語表記)Wilson's theorem
Wilson's theorem
The theorem proposed by the British mathematician J. Wilson (1741-93) states that "( p -1)!+1 is divisible by p if and only if p is a prime number." It was proved by J. Lagrange and L. Euler. This theorem is generally understood as follows:

x p -1 -1≡( x -1)( x -2)…( x - p +1) (mod p )

In particular, when x = 0, that is,

( p -1)! ≡ -1 (mod p )

This is what is known as Wilson's theorem.
