A species of the family Cicindelidae in the order Coleoptera. Body length is 12-15mm. A southern species, its distribution in Japan is at its northern limit. It inhabits natural coastlines that connect to sand dunes. There are only a few known habitats. Furthermore, its habitat is threatened by tourism development and seawalls.
