Imatomi-so

Japanese:
Imatomi-so
This was a manor in Wakasa Province, with its center in what is now Obama City, Fukui Prefecture. It was originally an alias for the provincial government tax office, which was mainly located in Onyu County but was also scattered in Mikata and Oi County, and is often referred to as the tax office Ima Tomina in historical documents. The name Ima Tomina appears in the Wakasa Nakate Saigou land survey plan from 1265, and according to a copy of the Wakasa Province total field count from the same year, there were over 55 cho of rice fields, of which 37 cho were located in Tomitago, while 51 cho were scattered in the various villages of Onyu County, such as Shimago, Saigo, and Togo, and the rest belonged to Mikata and Oi counties. The lord of the domain has been the Shugo of Wakasa Province almost consistently since the Kamakura period, with the Hojo clan's Tokuso in the middle and late Kamakura period, the Northern and Southern Court period when Shugo changed frequently, and the Isshiki clan and then the Takeda clan in the Muromachi and Sengoku periods. In the Meitokuki, it appears as "Zeisho Imatomi-sho" as a large manor within the Yamana clan's domain, and is said to have been given to Isshiki Sennobu by the Shogun as a reward for military achievements. Historical documents from 1540 refer to it as "Kunitomi-sho Imatomi," and part of it is included in Kunitomi-sho (present-day Obama City).
