The first person to do so was Nakakata Chusei, but in 1435, when Kikei Shinzui took over, Shinzui falsely proclaimed himself the head of Inryoken and took charge of reporting all matters related to monks, thereby gaining more power than the Sorokushi, and the official title Inryoshoku was born. The Inryoshoku continued to exist even after Inryoken burned down, and was abolished together with the Rokuen Sorokushi in 1615 (Genwa 1). …
