《Indonesia Merdeka》 - Indonesia Merdeka

In 1817, the group joined a federation made up mainly of young Dutch men who would work in the Dutch East Indies in the future, but withdrew in 1819 due to differences in opinion, and in January 1823, the East India Association changed its name to the Indonesian Association. The journal "Hindia Putra," which had been published since 1816, was renamed "Indonesia Merdeka" in 1824, and under the leadership of Hatta, Iwa Kusuma Sumantri, Ali Sastroamidjojo, and others, the group worked to foster a pan-Indonesian nationalist movement. It reached its peak around 1826-1827, and gradually declined as the students returned home.
