In the common Chinese language (Mandarin, National Language) where the Beijing dialect is the standard language, it is called "smoke bag", but in the southern regions, such as Cantonese, it is called "smoke tube", and in the Minnan dialect most widely used in Taiwan, it is called "smoke blow". However, a kiseru for smoking opium is called "yen gun". As far as orthography is concerned, the reason why "smoke bag", which means a tobacco bag, is called kiseru is probably for the following reasons.
