Ingojinskoye - Ingojinskoye

...Population: 370,000 (1990). Since 1653 it has been known as the wintering settlement of Ingodinskoe, which was renamed Chitinskoe village in 1706. It was inhabited by many Cossacks and fur hunters. In the first half of the 19th century it became famous as the place where Decembrists served their hard labor.
