Eels, WC - Eels

...A speech by W. C. Eells, advisor to the General Headquarters' Civil Information and Education Bureau, at a time when the American occupation policy was clearly anti-communist. On July 19, 1949, Eells gave a speech at Niigata University, calling for the elimination of communists from university professorships, and this was the beginning of a tour of about 30 universities across the country.
