〘Noun〙 A riverboat that traveled along the Hirano River during the Edo period and operated between Kashiwara Village in Kawachi Province and Osaka to transport cargo. It began with 40 boats in 1636, and by 1642 , as the volume of freight increased, the number had increased to 70. Its shape and structure are similar to the kensaki boats of the Yamato River, with dimensions of over 41.5 shaku (approximately 12.6 meters) in length, 7 shaku (approximately 2.1 meters) wide, and 1.5 shaku (approximately 45 centimeters) deep. It was a small boat with a capacity of about 20 koku, and was characterized by its ability to navigate shallow rivers. Kashiwawarabune. 〘名〙 江戸時代、平野川を利用して河内国柏原村と大坂の間に就航し、荷物輸送にあたった川船。寛永一三年(一六三六)四〇艘をもって始められ、同一七年輸送量の増加に伴い七〇艘となった。船型、構造とも大和川の剣先船と同系統のもので、その寸法は、敷長四一・五尺(約一二・六メートル)余、幅七尺(約二・一メートル)、深さ一・五尺(約四五センチメートル)。およそ二〇石積の小船で、浅い川筋を航行できるのを特徴とする。かしわわらぶね。〔和漢船用集(1766)〕
