...Several feature-length animated films were produced for the cinema, including a collaboration with the Czech Republic, but none were a commercial success. However, Jean Image, who created the first French feature-length animated film, Jeanne Brave (1950), continues to produce many commercially viable short animated films, including for television, but the quality is not worth seeing. Currently, Jean-François Laguionie, a paper-cutting short film writer, continues to produce high-quality works, such as The Lady and the Cellist (1965) and Noah's Ark (1967).
