Year of death: May 27, 1433 (June 14, 1433) Year of birth: Jōji 3/Shohei 19 (1364) A military commander in the Muromachi period. Son of Yasunori. Minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and Sukesanobu no Suke. In 1409, he inherited the family headship. He became the Shugo of Suruga. In the 23rd year of the same year, during the Uesugi Zenshu Rebellion, he supported the Kamakura kubo Ashikaga Mochiuji by order of the Muromachi shogunate. In September 1432, he entertained Shogun Ashikaga Yoshinori on his tour of Mount Fuji (Ranfuji-ki). The previous year, he had applied to the shogunate for his youngest son Chiyoakimaru (whose mother was a member of the Ogigayatsu Uesugi clan) to inherit the family headship, but Yoshinori did not approve due to his policy towards the Kanto region, and the issue became more complicated. He died amidst the unfolding struggle over the family headship.
