Imagawa Kuniuji
1243-1282 A military commander of the Kamakura period.
Born in the first year of the Kangen era. The second son of Kira Nagauji. The ancestor of the Imagawa clan. He was given Imagawa Manor in Hazu County, Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture) by his father, and took the manor's name as his surname. He died on February 23, the fifth year of the Koan era. He was 40 years old. His nickname was Shiro.

寛元元年生まれ。吉良長氏(きら-ながうじ)の次男。今川氏の祖。父から三河(愛知県)幡豆(はず)郡今川荘をあたえられ,その荘名を姓とした。弘安(こうあん)5年2月23日死去。40歳。通称は四郎。
