〘Noun〙 Hedgehog skin. This is peeled, dried, roasted and powdered black, and taken as medicine for anal fistula. ※Shosoin documents - June 21, 756, Tenpyo Shoho 8th year, Todaiji Temple medicine ledger "Three hedgehoes" [Additional note] In the "Irinhon Setsuyoshu," "hi" appears in two places ( but one of them is "ihi"), but both have the note "fish."

〘名〙ハリネズミの皮。これをはいで、乾燥したものを、あぶって黒い粉末にして、痔瘻(じろう)の薬として飲む。※正倉院文書‐天平勝宝八年（756）六月二一日・東大寺献薬帳「猬皮三枚」[補注]「易林本節用集」には、「蝟皮」は二か所（ただし一か所は「イヒ」）に出るが、ともに「魚也」と注記がある。
