…Masakata's school of disciples in Saga tried to revive the Tsukushi koto by absorbing other schools, and Imaizumi Chiharu (1775-1836) compiled the tradition up to that point and wrote works such as Shokyokaku Kotowa. It was passed down from his son Chiaki through Noda Chosho to the present day, but after the death of Murai Rei (1887-1958), Inoue Mina (1895-1995) was the only one to carry it on. The ancient pieces said to have been composed by Kenjun are called "Jikyoku" or "Eikyoku," and there are also secret pieces called "Hiden (Secret Ei)" and "Okugi (Profound Ei)," but their classification and titles vary greatly depending on the era. …
