Yoshihiro Inayama

Manager. Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of Commerce, Faculty of Economics, Tokyo Imperial University in 1927 (Showa 2), he joined the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and worked at the government-run Yahata Steel Works. The steelworks became Nippon Steel in 1934 as a result of the Great Steel Merger, but in 1950 Nippon Steel was dissolved and became Yawata Steel. He became vice president of Yawata Steel in 1961 and president in 1962. When the company merged with Fuji Steel in 1970 to form Nippon Steel, he became its president. In 1973, he became chairman. He served as chairman of the Japan Iron and Steel Exporters Association in 1953, chairman of the Japan Iron and Steel Federation in 1965, vice chairman of the Japan Business Federation (now the Japan Business Federation) in 1968, and chairman in 1980. He passed away on October 9, 1987.

経営者。東京都生まれ。1927年（昭和2）東京帝国大学経済学部商業学科を卒業し、商工省に入り官営八幡(やはた)製鉄所に勤務。同製鉄所は、1934年製鉄大合同で日本製鉄となったが、1950年日本製鉄は解体され、八幡製鉄となった。1961年八幡製鉄副社長、1962年社長に就任。1970年同社が富士製鉄と合併し新日本製鉄が発足すると、その社長となる。1973年同会長。1953年日本鉄鋼輸出組合理事長、1965年日本鉄鋼連盟会長、1968年経済団体連合会（現、日本経済団体連合会）副会長、1980年同会長を歴任。昭和62年10月9日没。
