...Unlisted. It began in June 1911 (Meiji 44) when Idemitsu Sazo (1885-1981) established a private store called Idemitsu Shokai in Moji and started selling oil. It is known as the largest ethnically-owned oil company (ethnic capital) built by Idemitsu Sazo in one generation, and for its unique corporate culture, such as "business management that respects people."
