General binding force

This refers to the ability to extend the effectiveness of the parts of the agreement that stipulate standards for working conditions and other treatment to be applied to people other than the union members who signed the agreement. Originally, a labor agreement takes effect between the parties, but from the perspective of standardizing and equalizing working conditions, it can be extended to apply at the workplace or regional level. ・労働協約を締結した組合員以外にも、労働条件やその他待遇の基準を定めた部分等の効力を拡張して適用することができることを指す。本来、労働協約は当事者間にその効力が発生するが、労働条件の統一化、均等化を図る見地より、事業所の単位、あるいは地域単位で拡張適用を図ることができる。
