A marine fish of the family Chaetodontidae in the order Perciformes. Total length is about 17 cm. The body is significantly laterally compressed. The body color is yellow, with black bands on the head and tail, and a prominent black spot across the central lateral line. It is found in the Pacific Ocean south of Wakayama Prefecture and the Indian Ocean.
