A bookshop in Kyoto during the Edo period. Known for publishing haiku books, most of the haiku books of the Sho school were published by this bookshop. The first generation published their first haiku book in 1652 , and continued their publishing activities for over 150 years and five generations. 江戸時代の京都の書肆(しょし)。俳書の出版で知られ、蕉門の俳書はほとんどこの書肆より刊行されている。初代が初めて俳書を出版したのは承応元年(一六五二)で、以後百五十余年、五代にわたって出版活動を続けた。
