Utou Yasukata

When the mother bird calls out "Utou," the baby bird replies with "Yasukata." It is said that when a hunter imitates the mother bird's voice to call and capture the baby bird, the mother bird will appear in the sky and shed tears of blood. One theory is that during the reign of Emperor Ingyaku, Middle Counselor Uzu Yasugata, who had committed a crime and descended to Sotohama in Oshu, and the bird is the embodiment of his child's spirit.
