Ikko Sanzonbutsu - Ikko Sanzonbutsu

...The head priest is the head priest of the Takada sect. According to temple legend, the temple was founded in 1226 (Karoku 2) with the Ikko Sanzonbutsu (One Light Triad Buddha) that Shinran had received in a dream while preaching in the Kanto region as the principal image. The statue, which is still enshrined in the temple's Nyorai-do Hall, is a Zenkoji-style Amida Triad that is thought to have been made in the Kamakura period, and is reminiscent of Shinran's connection with Zenkoji faith.
