〘Noun〙 Buddhist term. 1. The idea that one can attain rebirth in the Pure Land through the determination of faith. ※Kyogyoshinsho (1224) 3 "One thought of rebirth, conveniently the same as Miroku ." 2. The theory of Honen's disciple Kosei, who taught that rebirth is possible when the Buddha's wisdom, one thought, becomes one with the practitioner's faith. The doctrine of one thought.
