A monk from Goryeo, Korea. Author of the "Samguk Yusa." Family name: Kim. Given name: Kenmyeong. Pen names: Mugyeok, Mukan. Ilyeon is a pen name. In the 14th year of the reign of Gojong (1227), he passed the monk examination, and in the 24th year of the reign of Gojong (1227), he became the Samjeong Daeshi and in the 46th year of the reign of Gojong (1227), he became the Daesan Priest. In the 2nd year of the reign of King Chungnyeol (76), he became the abbot of Unmunsa Temple by royal order, and in the 7th year of the reign of King Chungnyeol (76), he lectured the king, and two years later he was appointed national reverend and given the title of Wongyeong Chojo. There is a monument to his achievements at Unmunsa Temple. The "Samguk Yusa" contains myths and folk tales from ancient Korea, as well as 14 village songs (written as ritou) from the Silla period, making it a valuable resource for research into ancient Korean culture. His posthumous name was Bogak.

朝鮮，高麗の僧。『三国遺事』の著者。姓，金。名，見明。号，無極，睦庵。一然は字。高宗 14 (1227) 年僧科に及第，同 24年三重大師，同 46年大禅師にいたった。忠烈王2 (76) 年王命により雲門寺の住持となり，同7年王に法説を講論，2年後国尊に推戴され円径 (鏡) 冲照の号を贈られた。雲門寺に事績碑がある。『三国遺事』には，朝鮮古代の神話，民間説話のほか，新羅時代の郷歌 (ヒャンガ) 14首 (吏読〈りとう〉で表記) が収録されていて，朝鮮古代文化研究の貴重な資料となっている。諡号は普覚。
