Born in 1581. Son of Ichijo Kanesada. In 1582, he was appointed governor of Tosa (Kochi Prefecture) by Chosokabe Motochika, who exiled his father. He married Motochika's daughter and lived in Otsu Castle in Nagaoka County. He was exiled after joining a plot to rebel against Motochika led by Hakawa Genba and others. The Tosa Ichijo clan was ended by his son Masachika. He died in 1583. He was 24 years old. His first name was Yoshifusako. His given name can also be read as "Uchimasa."
