Isopolyacid - Isopolysan

Among the polyacids formed by covalent condensation of one or several O atoms bonded around the central atom of an oxoacid with adjacent similar structures, when all the central atoms are the same, they are called isopolyacids. In correspondence with heteropolyacids, they are also called homopolyacids. Many of them are available as free acids, but their metal salts are more stable, and polychromates, molybdates, polyphosphates, etc. are well known.

オキソ酸の中心原子周囲に結合しているO原子の1個または数個が，隣接した同様の構造と共有縮合してできたポリ酸のうち，各中心原子がすべて同じ場合，これをイソポリ酸という．ヘテロポリ酸との対応から，ホモポリ酸ともいう．遊離酸の得られているものも多いが，むしろ，それらの金属塩のほうがより安定で，ポリクロム酸塩，モリブデン酸塩，ポリリン酸塩などがよく知られている．
