Isin Larsa era - Isin Larsa era

...Also, from this time onwards, in southern Mesopotamia, for the first time, the buying and selling of cultivated land on the premise of private ownership, and active commercial activity centered around a type of merchant capitalist called "tamkarm" were seen. After the emergence of Larsa as a political force, Isin and Larsa competed for supremacy, but neither had enough power to overpower the other, and the state of small states continued in southern Mesopotamia (Isin-Larsa period), until Isin was destroyed by Larsa (1794 BC), and Larsa was destroyed by Babylon under Hammurapi (1792-1750 BC) (1763 BC).
[Babylonian First Dynasty]
