Gastrin

Japanese: ガストリン

One of the representative gastrointestinal hormones secreted from G cells in the gastric mucosa. It promotes gastric juice secretion. It is a peptide hormone consisting of 17 amino acids, with the smallest unit being a tetrapeptide (WMDF#: # is an amide). Secretion is stimulated when partial protein hydrolysates, alcohol, etc. reach the stomach. Mechanical stimulation of the stomach wall also induces secretion. Secretion is regulated by the pH of the pylorus.

胃粘膜のG細胞から分泌される代表的な消化管ホルモンの一つ．胃液分泌を促進する．アミノ酸17個のペプチドホルモンであるが，最少単位はテトラペプチド (WMDF＃：＃はアミド) である．タンパク質部分分解物，アルコールなどが胃に到達すると分泌が刺激される．胃壁の機械的な刺激も分泌を引き起こす．幽門部のpHが分泌を調節する．
