general strike
A general strike is a strike that is carried out on a regional, industry, or even national scale. It is usually carried out on issues common to all workers or issues of national concern, and has a strong political character and is often a means of revolutionary movements. It may be subject to emergency adjustment measures as stipulated in the Labor Relations Adjustment Act.
