In addition, along the high road that runs parallel to the Tokaido from Kurumamachi to Tamachi, the towns of Isarago, Sengakuji Temple, and Nihonenoki Temple formed an area. According to a survey conducted in 1827-28 (Bunsei 10-11), the area had 95 towns and a total of about 10,000 households (447 landlords/household owners, 1,045 landkeepers/housekeepers, 1,156 land renters, 7,315 shop renters, and 54 store owners)....
