Kantoensis

...Distributed in Honshu. There are variations depending on the region; those in the Tohoku region have large, round leaves and are called Ooiwauchiwa var. uniflora , those in the Kanto region have broad, small, heart-shaped leaves at the base and are called Iwauchiwa var. kantoensis Yamazaki in the narrow sense, and those in the Hokuriku and Kinki regions tend to have round or wedge-shaped stems at the base and are called Tokuwakasou var. orbiwlaris Honda. Because the flowers are beautiful, they are planted as mountain plants, but they are difficult to cultivate.
