…In 1472 (Bunmei 4), Hata Yasushi of Kamimatsuura took control of Iki by force, renovated Kameoka Castle, and appointed a castle lord to make it his base of control. However, in 1555 (Kouji 1), the Iki Rokuninshu (Six Men of Iki), including Tateishi, Makiyama, and Shimojo, rebelled against the Hata clan, and Hata Takashi, the lord of Kameoka Castle, was defeated and killed. The Rokuninshu also rebelled the following year, and the castle lord, Hata Shige, was defeated and killed. …
