A maki - e artist from the Momoyama period to the early Edo period. Grandson of Shinsai. Invited by the lord of Kaga, Maeda Toshitsune, he went to Kanazawa and built the foundations of Kaga maki-e. He is said to be the creator of the "Akino maki- e inkstone box." Doho Rō. Years of birth and death unknown. 桃山から江戸初期の蒔絵師(まきえし)。信斎の孫。加賀藩主前田利常に招かれて金沢に行き、加賀蒔絵の基礎を築く。「秋野蒔絵硯箱(すずりばこ)」の作者とされる。老道甫。生没年不詳。
