…He was one of the most prominent military heroes during the time when the ancient Israelites settled in the land. Also known as Jerubbaal. According to the Old Testament Book of Judges, chapters 6-8, he belonged to the tribe of Manasseh and fought against nomads who attacked from the east on camels. He led a night attack by 300 elite soldiers selected from among the tribesmen who participated in the war and defeated the large army.
