Imperial decree - Inzen

A document issued by the Innosuke and others at the will of the retired emperor or retired emperor. Therefore, at the end of the main text, phrases such as "The Innosuke's decree is as follows," "It is as per the Emperor's will," or simply "It is as per the Emperor's will," are included to indicate that it is intended to convey the Emperor's will. Innosuke is often written on blank paper, but when Kurodo (Kurodo) presented it, shukushi (light ink paper) was sometimes used. Innosuke began during the Insei period, and were common throughout the Kamakura and Muromachi periods, when Insei was in power.

院司などが上皇、法皇の意を受けて発行する文書。したがって本文末尾に「院宣如此(かくのごとし)」「院御気色所候也(いんのごきしょくそうろうところなり)」あるいはただ「御気色所候也」というような文句を入れ、院の意向を伝えるものであることを示している。院宣は多く白紙に書かれるが、蔵人(くろうど)が院宣を奉ずる場合には宿紙(しゅくし)（薄墨紙(うすずみがみ)）を用いたこともある。院宣は院政時代に始まり、鎌倉・室町時代を通じて、院政が行われている時期に多い。
