When formulating advertising plans for their products, particularly media strategies, sponsoring advertisers choose from a variety of commercial formats depending on their advertising budget, including (1) program commercials, (2) spot commercials, (3) jointly sponsored commercials, and (4) informational commercials. (1) is a commercial that is broadcast by the advertiser sponsoring the program during the program time, (2) is a commercial that is broadcast between programs (station breaks), (3) is a spot commercial that is broadcast by multiple advertisers sponsoring the program, and is, so to speak, an intermediate form between (1) and (2), and (4) is a commercial that is broadcast within the broadcasting station's informational programs. ...
