Algonquin Park Radio Astronomy Observatory

...Recently, a VLA (Very Large Array Interferometer) was constructed in Socorro, New Mexico, consisting of 27 25-meter antennas arranged in a Y-shape.

In Canada, there are optical observatories such as the Dominion Observatory in the capital Ottawa (established in 1902), the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Victoria on the Pacific coast (established in 1918), the David Dunlap Observatory of the University of Toronto, and the Algonquin Park Radio Observatory with its 46m diameter parabolic antenna. Mexico also has the Tonantintla Observatory, whose main telescope is the 65cm Schmidt telescope (completed in 1949).
