Aminophylline - Aminophylline (English spelling)

A double salt of theophylline and ethylenediamine, it is a cardiac stimulant and bronchodilator. It is a bitter-tasting white or slightly yellow granule or powder that has made the poorly soluble theophylline water-soluble. It has central nervous system stimulant, coronary vasodilator, cardiotonic, diuretic, bronchodilator, and gastric juice secretion promoting effects, and is widely used for preventing bronchial asthma, asthma attacks, renal and hepatic edema, and angina attacks. As it is prone to causing gastrointestinal disorders, it is mainly administered intravenously and infused slowly. The usual dosage is 0.1 grams per dose, 0.3 grams per day, and the maximum dosage is 0.5 grams per dose, 1.5 grams per day.

テオフィリンとエチレンジアミンの複塩で、強心・気管支拡張剤。苦味を有する白色ないし微黄色の粒または粉末で、難溶性のテオフィリンを水溶性としたもの。中枢神経興奮、冠血管拡張、強心、利尿、気管支拡張、胃液分泌促進作用を有し、気管支喘息(ぜんそく)、喘息発作の予防、腎(じん)性および肝性浮腫(ふしゅ)、狭心症発作の予防などに広く応用される。胃腸障害をおこしやすいので、おもに静脈注射を行い徐々に注入する。常用量は1回0.1グラム、1日0.3グラム、極量は1回0.5グラム、1日1.5グラム。
