One of the schools of swordsmanship. Also known as Aisu Kage-ryu or Kage-no-ryu. It is said to have been founded by Aisu Iko in the late Muromachi period when he retreated to a cave at Udo Shrine in Hyuga. Technique is Yang and the mind is Yin. It was later passed on to Kamiizumi Hidetsuna and became Shinkage-ryu, which gave rise to many branches, including Yagyu Munenori's Yagyu Shinkage-ryu (see Yagyu-ryu). → Related article Kendo Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
