…From the fourth edition (1527) onwards, a world map was added by his pupil Hemma Frisius. The contents of the book are mainly on mathematical geographical descriptions such as measurements of longitude and latitude, map projections (his ellipsoidal projection is known as the Appian projection), and tables of longitude and latitude for various regions. In 1527 he became professor of mathematics at the University of Ingolstadt, where he died. …
