An earthquake that occurred on August 14, 1909, near the Anegakawa River in eastern Shiga Prefecture, and the resulting damage. The magnitude was 6.8. 41 people died in Shiga and Gifu Prefectures, and over 900 houses were completely destroyed. It is also known as the "Eno earthquake."
