Anu (atom) - Anu

Japanese:
Anu (atom) - Anu

…After all, the history of modern science in Europe, especially physics, can be said to have been a series of attempts to carry out the logic of atomic theory. [Yoichiro Murakami]
[Ancient India]
Atomic theory has existed in India since ancient times, but it is thought to have begun in Jainism, which considered things to exist in the form of minute and compound bodies, the former being anu, or atom, which occupies a point in space and has the power of movement and combination to gradually form a compound body. After that, it was widely adopted in the general world of thought outside of orthodox Brahminism (the school of thought was mainly the Mimamsa school) as the basis for defining substance.
