In addition to these, he had written other works with the intention of publishing them, but they were gradually forgotten, and today only parts of his works, such as "On the Soul (Eudemus)", "Exhortation to Philosophy (Protrepticus)", and "On Philosophy", have survived in fragments or in abridged form, quoted by posterity. The most dearly lost of his works is his survey of the constitutions of 158 Greek states and their historical changes, of which only "Constitution of the Athenians" survives, most of which was discovered in the form of a papyrus manuscript in 1890.
