祭礼囃子ならびに歌舞伎および寄席などの囃子に用いられる体鳴楽器の一つ。鉦 (しょう) の類の「かね」の一つで,原則として紐でぶらさげて,角撞木 (つのしゅもく) で打つものをいう。祭礼囃子に用いられるものは厚みや大きさもさまざまで,「コンチキ」「チャンギリ」「ヨスケ」などと呼ばれる。
