...A military commander in the early Kamakura period. He may have been a member of the Adachi clan, a powerful clan in Musashi Province. According to the Sonpi Bunmyaku, he was the son of Onoda Saburo Kanemori, who had the surname Fujiwara. His name was Fujikuro. He was the son-in-law of Minamoto no Yoritomo's wet nurse, Hiki no Ama, and became a close aide to Yoritomo when he was exiled. When Yoritomo raised an army in 1180 (Jisho 4), he was effective in inviting hereditary members of the Minamoto clan. He was trusted by Yoritomo, and from around the Genryaku period, he was in charge of tax collection on the domestic public lands as the magistrate of Kozuke Province, in place of the provincial government office.
