A classification term for pieces in Japanese theater, dance, and music. A general term for works based on the legend (adapted from the Yoshitsune Chronicle and other sources) that Benkei read a false Kanjincho (a book of solicitations) while on his way to Oshu, and passed through the Ataka checkpoint. Originating from the Kōwakamai dances Togashi and Oisagashi, and the Noh play Ataka, many have been created in various forms up to modern times. (1) The fourth piece in the Noh play Ataka. Written by Kanze Kojirō Nobumitsu. Shite: Benkei, waki: Togashi, kokata: Yoshitsune. (2) Old Jōruri plays: Uji Kagajō's Gaijin Yashima, Tosa-bushi's Ataka Kanjincho, Handayu-bushi's Ataka Dogyō. (3) Kabuki play Hoshiai Jūnidan (Twelve Stages of Stars), written and performed by Ichikawa Danjūrō I himself. First performed at the Nakamuraza Theater in Edo in 1702 (Genroku 15). (4) Gidayu-bushi "Two Shizukata Inai Saguri" (Two Shizukata Inai Saguri), a historical piece, five acts. Written by Chikamatsu Monzaemon. First performed at the Takemotoza Theater in Osaka in 13 (Shotoku 3). (5) Gidayu-bushi "Seiwa Genji Jyugodan" (Seiwa Genji Jyugodan), a historical piece, five acts. Written by Namiki Sosuke and Yasuda Kaerubun. First performed at the Toyotakeza Theater in Osaka in 27 (Kyoho 12). (6) Nagauta dance drama "Kumatori Atakamatsu" (Kumatori Atakamatsu), commonly known as "Ataka." A type of Joruri song. Based on (4) rather than (1), it does not include the part where the Kanjincho is read. Composed by Fujita Yoshitsugu. First performed at the Ichimuraza Theater in Edo in 69 (Meiwa 6). (7) Kabuki play "Gohiiki Kanjincho" (Gohiiki Kanjincho), commonly known as "Imoarai Kanjincho" (Potato Sweet Potatoes). A period piece, six acts. Written by Sakurada Jisuke I. First performed at the Nakamura Theater in 1873. (8) Itchu-bushi "Ataka Doyuki" and "Kanjincho" (Itchu-bushi), composed by Sugano Joyu I and II during the Bunka era. Narration only. It is said to have been inspired by a rite of passage on the same subject. (9) Dance drama "Kanjincho" in Nagauta. (10) Dance drama "Odoke Niwaka Ataka Shinseki" (Odoke Niwaka Ataka Shinseki), commonly known as "Ataka Shinseki" (Odoke Niwaka Ataka Shinseki), in Kiyomoto-bushi, Tomimoto-bushi, and Gidayu-bushi styles. Written by Kawatake Mokuami. A kind of vaudeville that makes (9) comical. First performed at the Ichimura Theater in 1865. (11) Nagauta "Ataka Kanjincho" Composed in 1870 by Kineya Kangoro III. An arrangement of (9) that can be performed with Nagauta alone. (12) Kabuki "Ataka Seki" Written by Enomoto Torahiko, first performed at the Tokyo Kabukiza in 1904. 日本演劇,舞踊,音楽の曲の分類用語。源義経の奥州落ちの途中,弁慶が偽りの勧進帳を読んで安宅の関所を通過したという伝説 (『義経記』などの脚色) を題材とした作品の総称。幸若舞『富樫 (とがし) 』『笈捜 (おいさがし) 』,能『安宅』を源流とし,各種目で近代にいたるまで数多く作られている。 (1) 能『安宅』 四番目物。観世小次郎信光作。シテ-弁慶,ワキ-富樫,子方-義経。 (2) 古浄瑠璃の類 宇治加賀掾『凱陣八島 (がいじんやしま) 』,土佐節『安宅勧進帳』,半太夫節『安宅道行』。 (3) 歌舞伎『星合 (ほしあい) 十二段』 1世市川団十郎自作自演。元禄 15 (1702) 年江戸中村座初演。 (4) 義太夫節『ふたり静胎内さぐり (ふたりしずかたいないさぐり) 』 時代物,五段。近松門左衛門作。正徳3 (13) 年大坂竹本座初演。 (5) 義太夫節『清和源氏十五段』 時代物,五段。並木宗助,安田蛙文合作。享保 12 (27) 年大坂豊竹座初演。 (6) 長唄による舞踊劇『隈取安宅松』 通称『安宅』。唄浄瑠璃。 (1) よりも (4) に準拠し,勧進帳を読む一件は含まない。富士田吉次作曲。明和6 (69) 年江戸市村座初演。 (7) 歌舞伎『御摂 (ごひいき) 勧進帳』 通称『芋あらい勧進帳』。時代物,6幕。1世桜田治助作。安永2 (73) 年中村座初演。 (8) 一中節『安宅道行』および『勧進帳』 文化年間,1,2世菅野序遊作曲。語り物のみ。同題材の祭文からヒントを得たという。 (9) 長唄による舞踊劇『勧進帳』。 (10) 清元節,富本節,義太夫節による舞踊劇『滑稽俄安宅新関 (おどけにわかあたかのしんせき) 』 通称『安宅新関』。河竹黙阿弥作。 (9) を滑稽化した一種のボードビル。慶応1 (1865) 年市村座初演。 (11) 長唄『安宅勧進帳』 明治3 (70) 年3世杵屋勘五郎作曲。 (9) をアレンジし,長唄だけの演奏で筋が通るようにしたもの。 (12) 歌舞伎『安宅関』 榎本虎彦作,1904年東京歌舞伎座初演。長唄と義太夫節を用いた活歴。
