The land where the Asgardians live in Norse mythology. It appears in fragments in the Edda poems, but its actual nature is unclear. According to Snorri's Edda, after Odin and his brothers created humans, they built a fortress called Asgard in the center of the world and called it Troy. The gods and their descendants live there, and many events that occur on earth and in the air come from there. There is a lookout point called Friðskjalf, where Odin, the chief god of Asgard, sits and looks over the whole world, observing the deeds of each and every human and remembering them all. In the center of the city is a temple, with 12 seats in addition to Odin's high seat. The building is called Glaðsheim, the most magnificent and largest on earth, and shines with gold both inside and out. The other is the house of the goddesses, called Bíngolv. Valhalla is also in Asgard. In addition, the gods had forges where they made all the tools, such as hammers, shears, anvils, etc. In Snorri's Ynglingasaga, the land of Assia east of the River Tanais (Don) is called Ásaland or Ásalheim, and its capital is said to be Ásgard, but this is based on the Euhimerian theory that the gods were deified humans.
