Born on December 9, 1925. Her father is Asakura Fumio. Her elder sister is Asakura Setsu. She was first selected for the Shinbunten Exhibition in 1942. She was awarded the special prize at the Nitten Exhibition four times after the war. In 1960, she participated in the formation of the contemporary sculpture group. She won the Nagano City Outdoor Sculpture Award in 1979 and the Nakahara Teijiro Award for Excellence in 1982. She pursues sophisticated images of young girls and women. She was born in Tokyo.
