Kakugibukkyo (English: Gé Yì Fó Jiào)

Kakugibukkyo (English: Gé Yì Fó Jiào)
In the early stages of the acceptance of Buddhism in China, rather than directly studying its original meanings in the original Indian Buddhist texts, the school relied entirely on Chinese translations of Buddhist scriptures that had been converted into a completely different language system with its own cultural foundation, and attempted to understand Buddhism by comparing it to the Chinese classics, which had different philosophical patterns. This was popular from the end of the Western Jin Dynasty to the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420), and reflecting the situation in the intellectual world in which Laozi and Zhuangzi philosophia dominated, the idea of emptiness in the Prajnaparamita Sutra was interpreted using the Laozi and Zhuangzi ideas of nothingness.
