Four governors of Oshu

...The Oshu Kanrei system was thus divided. Afterwards, Takauji dispatched Shiba Iekane as Kanrei of Oshu, but Oshu was divided so much that Kira Sadaie's son Mitsuie, his younger brother Haruie, Hatakeyama Kuniakira, Ishido Yoshimoto, Ishibashi Kazuyoshi, and Muneyoshi all declared themselves Kanrei of Oshu, and came to be known as the Four Kanrei of Oshu. In 1691 (Genchu ​​8, Meitoku 2), Mutsu and Dewa provinces came under the jurisdiction of the Kamakura kubo, replacing the Oshu Kanrei system, which no longer had the substance of a regional administrative government in Oshu. In 1699 (Oei 6), the Kamakura government sent Ashikaga Mitsusada and Mitsunao down to govern Oshu as the Inamura Palace and Sasagawa Palace.
